We all feel worried, anxious, and tense at times. These are normal feelings to situations we encounter.

But if you have an anxiety disorder the feelings of unease and tension can be ongoing and impact your quality of life. Anxiety can affect your mental and physical health and cause symptoms such as heart palpitations, stomach pains, headaches, racing thoughts, irritability, sleep problems, and changes to appetite.

Know that you're never alone and that treatment and support are available for you. Your doctor can offer you treatment based on your diagnosed anxiety disorder.

You can also manage your symptoms by making sure you're eating right, taking time to exercise, practising mindfulness and taking time to identify your triggers.

"Sometimes asking for help is the bravest move you can make. You don't have to go it alone."
