An act of karma is by definition, in many Eastern traditions at least, an act of will, requiring awareness, choice, and intention. To change or improve your karma, you start at the level of awareness, and choose to shift your intention to positive action and outcomes, providing the opportunity for the change your soul needs to accomplish, in order to grow to its full potential.

You Can Choose What Kind of Life You Want!

Another karma definition is that of unfinished business. We carry “incomplete” emotional baggage from childhood into adulthood which shows up by attaching to the events of our life in the moment.  The situation some people are in may relate to an event in their childhood when they didn’t have the power to change it, now that they possess that power, their awareness and insight increases, along with their ability to respond differently. The circumstances of their present life has come together in a way that provides them with an opportunity for clearing out and letting go of that old baggage.

Our spelling of Kalmer relates to the connotation of the calming of internal chaos and conflict that can occur in many of us. The need to calm the inner and external behaviours is the main reason individuals seek counselling and why children are referred to our service.

The use of a rainbow in our logo has many symbolic representations. Many cultures around the world use a rainbow in flags signifying diversity, inclusiveness, hope and yearning. The universal experience of seeing a rainbow form could be said to possess a ‘magical’ quality, evoking some profound thoughts. The rainbow is also symbolic of a positive transformation, something so vibrant and significant emerging from a negative environment is a pleasant image to convey in our logo. Many believe that the sun is a representation of the self, and the rainbow is therefore often seen as a bridge between heaven and earth. Placing it in our logo could therefore represent the strength in the relationship between the earthly self and the enlightened self.

An Irish legend tells that at the rainbow reveals a significant treasure at the end. This anecdote hides a profound symbolic message that is present in different belief systems and philosophies. The seven colours of the rainbow are a perfect analogy to symbolize the seven levels of consciousness that lead humans from ignorance to enlightenment. The reward that waits at the end of the rainbow is the brute soul transmuted into gold at the very end of the evolutionary journey
